SPACE EXPLORATION

China wants SPECPOL to affirm that any nation has the ability to exploit celestial bodies beyond the moon (not including the moon) for resources. This will boost many nations economies and relieve the Earth from its resource crisis. Although this is very far off into the future, China needs this affirmation to start active development regarding this topic. If countries are willing to invest in this Chinese project, China will later compensate this by sharing the resources found in space in this way (assuming that China is the first country reaching these planets, which is highly likely).
The current Outer Space Treaty just states that no countries will OWN celestial bodies or conduct military activities on them, so developing resources will be A-okay.
