Benefits of Neo-Colonialism Empty Benefits of Neo-Colonialism

    Post by SPECPOL_China Sat May 17, 2014 8:40 pm

Here are the benefits of Neo-Colonialism that China sees:
    a) Countless jobs created
    b) Resources extracted
    c) Infrastructure built
    d) Economic lends
    e) Increased Education and Standard of Living
    f) Improved Relations between the world superpowers

If any Chinese trade partners deny this, please let China know.
Also, if any trade partners of China want China to stop trading with it, please voice your opinion and China will stop giving all its effort and benefits to that country.

    a) Countless jobs created
    >>Neo-colonialism is a result of desperate trade efforts with a wealthy country, for absurd costs. To compensate for these costs, the government cuts funding that would otherwise go to a worker's salary and rights. How is it a benefit that jobs are being created, when they're getting paid pennies a day for work that would be considered illegal in any "First world" country???

    b) Resources extracted
    >>How is this a good thing???? Their resources are just being sent over to the wealthy countries, and the countries whose resources are getting extracted don't benefit in a single way. This is more detrimental, as they are losing their resources for the sake of trade.

    c) Infrastructure built
    >>There isn't really any significant infrastructure created. We can give you this one, but it's such a small benefit compared to the detriments.

    d) Economic lends
    >>Again, this is in no way a good thing. Countries are just left paying back their debts because world banks demand high interest rates, which leaves most countries in a worse off state.

    e) Increased Education and Standard of Living
    >>Getting works to extract resources isn't exactly a job that requires education; as such, they are not provided any. Furthermore, their standing of living is terrible because they aren't even getting proper pay and workers rights.

    f) Improved Relations between the world superpowers
    >>These aren't improved relations, it's increased dependency upon the world powers! Sure, the world powers think that's a good thing because of their selfish needs, but having to depend on a country isn't a good thing for any country, no matter who it is.

Brazil agrees with Lithuania, most of what China presented is ignoring the problems which we are here to fix, such as increasing education and countries are left with crippling debts.
